Easily identified by one of 10 geographical neighborhood groupings to which each church member belongs, our "Neighbors in Christ" groupings remind us that we care for one another one by one. In our ministry to one another as neighbors we aim to encourage and be supportive of one another through prayer, care and fellowship. A Neighbors in Christ Bulletin Board giving the names of every member and his or her Neighbors in Christ group is posted on the board in the narthex.

Here is how Neighbors in Christ works...

If a member of your Neighbors in Christ group is in hospital, returning home from surgery, having a baby, etc. your NIC contact person will have that information as soon as the church office receives it. If you have information of this kind to share, please contact the church office.   Once information has been shared, neighbors can work together to find a helpful way to coordinate the needs for meals, visits, phone contacts, prayer, care fellowship, etc.

Occasional NIC group socials can be held to bring you and your neighbors together. Home Bible studies offered by neighbors are also an inviting way to share with one another.

Fellowship Committee
This committee assures our church family that whenever there is a special need for a reception (funeral, bishop's visit, dedication, etc.) there will be a coordinated effort made among our Neighbors in Christ and membership.

Coffee Hour
What would a service be like if we never had the opportunity to catch up with one another and chat a spell? The fellowship found at Coffee Hours is significant family time. Each month, a Neighbors in Christ team assures that these gatherings are held after every 11:00 service.

Newcomers' Ministry
Welcoming those who desire to find a church home is the goal of our Newcomers' Ministry. Through Neighbors in Christ, a team of visitors is being developed to see that

• All are visited
• A newcomers' bulletin board is up-to-date
• Quarterly Newcomers gatherings are held
• Connections are made that welcome and encourage.
