MEMORIAL SERVICES AND THE MEMORIAL GARDEN

St. Andrew's offers pastoral care to all persons as best it can. There are occasions when we are asked to provide a memorial services for those unaffiliated with the church. The rector of St. Andrew's intends to be available but will need to be contacted as soon as possible for pastoral matters.

Members and persons affiliated with St. Andrew's can expect to have the pastoral care and attention of the church in times of need. Memorial services are carefully planned with family members and the use of the chapel, church and/or outdoor altar for such services is available.

The pdf icon below will allow you to download a brochure with specifics about our Outdoor Memorial Altar. Please call the church office for details as soon as needed... plan ahead with the rector so that your wishes can be noted and known in advance.

RENEWAL OF MARRIAGE VOWS
The vows of Marriage are sacred and may be renewed in the chapel, church or at the outdoor altar. Simply contact the church office and ask for the rector. He will gladly assist in making the arrangements

BAPTISM
Baptism is the Sacrament of New Birth making a person a full member of the Church.

• Adults who are baptized will receive instruction in the Faith and be sponsored by another baptized person in a public service of Holy Baptism.

•  Children who are baptized are also given instruction in the Faith. They are sponsored by Godparents and Parents (Guardians) who affirm the faith and assure the child that they will see that they are brought up in the Christian faith. Therefore, Baptism is not offered in private or without sponsors, as it represents to us (the Church) the fact that we, too, are renewing our own baptismal vows.

•  Infants are baptized in the Episcopal Church. We recognize that Baptism is an outward and visible sign of God's inward and spiritual grace... the sealing with the Holy Spirit in Baptism is the Church's call to be certain that the child presented is brought up in the Christian faith. Our responsibility is enjoined with that of the Godparents and Parents (Guardians) to see that the best of worship, Christian education and fellowship is offered as the child grows into the full stature of the faith.
